365 Days
Tuesday, October 14, 2008
The gray brings quiet
that hangs like a veil outside;
no motion or sound.
Monday, October 13, 2008
As I watch the squirrel
busily searching my yard,
I feel quite lazy.
Sunday, October 12, 2008
Rich smell of maple
and the scent of fresh mown grass
fill the autumn air.
Saturday, October 11, 2008
My dog is barking-
Waking up the neigborhood
to share his loud joy.
Friday, October 10, 2008
The night falls softly,
with the hushed voice of the breeze
telling me secrets.
Thursday, October 9, 2008
Red vines thread my fence
like fingers reaching upward
longing for the sky.
Wednesday, October 8, 2008
Shadows across the
lawn, shimmering like water-
the sun hides its face.

Purpose
365 Days
Prairie Grove, Arkansas, United States
My plan is to post a Tanka, Haiku, or another short breath of some sort daily, and to include pictures of the outdoors at least twice a week. I want this to be an exercise in living in the moment and disciplined writing.
